Detailed Description

Distribution: Global wetlands, rivers, lakes, marshes, ponds and canals. Mainly produced in the Yangtze River Basin and coastal wetlands in China. The products from Baiyangdian in Hebei Province and Hongze Lake in Jiangsu Province are of the best quality.

Main components (content range)

Polysaccharides: Approximately 51%, mainly composed of polysaccharides such as arabinose, galactose, and glucose, with molecular weights ranging from 1-2 kDa to 100-200 kDa

Flavonoids: Including lonicera flavonoids, lonicera glycosides, etc., with antioxidant activity

Essential oils: 0.02-0.2%, containing lonicera alcohol, lonicera ketone, etc.

Saponins: 1-3%, including lonicera saponins A/B/C

Others: Protein (5%), fat (1%), leucine, asparagine (0.1%), phenolic acids (p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid)
